I have never written a review, but this chimney company is worth my time to expound upon, and tell you how professional, ethical, and reasonable they are. Do not hesitate to try them. We had an inspection on a 33 year old chimney. They confirmed my appointment, text the exact time they would arrive, and leveled with us on costs and other options that were available. Definitely not pushy and a pleasure to work with. Highest recommendations!!!Posted on Google Mike PearceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. James and Dylan did a great job removing our old fireplace insert.Posted on Google Bob KupkaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our experience from start to finish was outstanding. We had Chimney Restoration install a Kozy Heat Nordic 29i Direct Vent Insert into our almost 50 year old fireplace and provide any necessary chimney repairs. Not only are we completely satisfied with the product and their work but I can honestly say that we have enjoyed more fires in the last 2 months than in the previous 30 years. The process started with a call to Kris (great first impression), explaining what I was looking for. He answered all my questions, laid out their process and arranged for Joseph to come over to do a thorough inspection including internal videography of our chimney. Joseph then sat down with us to discuss his findings, review the videos, made recommendations including chimney repairs and what our options were. This process took several hours and he provided us with a detailed estimate when complete. Also there were several other requirements of work outside of their scope that had to be done to accommodate the install and he recommended very qualified, friendly and professional people who could do that work and had them contact me. The next step was Kris called to schedule the project. He managed the entire thing. I was next contacted by Kris to confirm the dates including helping to schedule the recommended professionals and that Bryan would be there with his crew to do all the necessary work. The project took 4 days. Kris, Joseph, Bryan and his crew should all be commended for their professionalism, curtsey, friendliness and the quality of work they did. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend them without reservation. What also impressed me was that each and every person I spoke to had a very positive opinion of the Company, the Management and Ownership which help to reinforce that I made the right decision of engaging them.Posted on Google Lori HardmanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. At Chimney Restoration of Kansas City, we recommend having your chimney swept at least once a year. Regular sweeping helps to prevent the buildup of creosote and soot, which can cause fires and reduce the efficiency of your fireplace.
A chimney sweep involves a thorough cleaning of the chimney flue to remove soot, creosote, and other debris. Our professional technicians use specialized brushes and vacuums to ensure your chimney is clean and functioning properly. The process also includes an inspection to identify any potential issues that might need attention.
Signs of a damaged chimney include visible cracks in the masonry, water leaks, a deteriorating chimney crown, or a leaning structure. Additionally, if you notice excessive soot buildup, unusual smells, or difficulty starting a fire, these could indicate damage. Our experts can provide a detailed inspection to diagnose any issues.
Yes, the inside of a chimney can be repaired. We offer services such as relining the chimney flue, repairing or replacing damaged flue tiles, and addressing any structural issues. These repairs are essential for maintaining the proper function and longevity of your chimney.
Absolutely, unused chimneys should be capped to prevent water, debris, and animals from entering. A chimney cap also helps to prevent downdrafts and protects the chimney structure from weather-related damage. Capping your chimney is a simple but effective way to maintain its integrity.
